The Halligan Family - Ranch Cowboy Family
Frank & Ethel Halligan, parents of Bernard, Darryl, Delbert, Irene (Hutchinson), Kenneth & Eugene, were early SD ranchers who originally homesteaded in the Parmelee area.  Their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren continue to be actively involved in ranching, as well as in rodeo and the performance horse world from cutting arena to 4-H, high school, amateur and professional rodeo.  The descendents of these Irish settlers are carrying on a rich western heritage.
