The Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center would like to thank everyone who contributed to the opening exhibits. It took 3-years and the tireless efforts of volunteers and every rodeo association in the state to research and secure the items currently on display. We realize that we have only scratched the surface of available artifacts, stories, and pictures, representing South Dakota’s rich rodeo history.

Many visitors find it takes multiple visits to take in the depth of the exhibits currently on display. Therefore, changes to the museum will be made on a rolling basis in order to allow visitors an opportunity to take in everything the museum has to offer. Moving forward into 2011, the Board of Directors, committee of volunteers, and staff will begin to plan future exhibits.
If you have items you would like to donate/loan to the museum for future exhibits, please note the following:
Newspaper clippings, historical records, photographs, obituaries, etc. of South Dakota ranch or rodeo family members are currently being accepted. If you would like to donate one or more of these items to the Rodeo Center, please complete a Deed of Gift Form and mail/deliver it with the item(s) to the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center.
If you have larger items such as saddles, buckles, trophies, gates, wagons, etc. please understand that we currently do not have sufficient storage available to house these items. However, in order to ensure proper records are kept regarding your pending contribution, please complete a Letter of Intent and return it to the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center. You will be notified when your item(s) are scheduled be added to the upcoming exhibits or when sufficient storage space becomes available.
