The Johnny Smith Memorial Sculpture Garden, overlooking the mighty Missouri River, was created in 2013 to memorialize South Dakota’s rodeo greats. Add your engraved brick to the hundreds of other personalized bricks placed in the garden!

A large bronze statue of 5-time World Champion Bronc Rider Billy Etbauer, of Ree Heights was placed. On June 2, 2018 a second large bronze statue of 6-time World Champion bronc rider Casey Tibbs riding The Old Gray Mare will be added. In 2019, a third statue of 4-time World Champion bronc rider Clint Johnson, will be placed. When completed, the Sculpture Garden will highlight the top 3 bronc riders from South Dakota! Get your bronze replica of Casey Tibbs! Limited availability 

Join us for the unveiling of our outdoor statue of  on June 2 at 3:00 pm. This outdoor event is free and open to the public. Beverages will be available for sale. We will also have reduced admission to the museum that day.
