Chase the Ace Fundraiser - Official Rules
Tickets: $10 Each
Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
Need not be present to win.

1. Eligibility
Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase.
By purchasing a Chase the Ace ticket, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by these Official Rules.
2. Ticket Purchases
Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased through the official Square purchase link available at caseytibbs.com and on the Casey Tibbs Foundation Facebook page.
To be eligible for a weekly drawing, a ticket purchase must be completed no later than 12:00 p.m. Central Time on the day of the drawing.
At the time of purchase, each participant must provide:
Purchaser's name;
A valid contact phone number; and
The number of one envelope remaining in play.
Each $10 ticket purchased constitutes one entry into that week's drawing.
Participants may purchase multiple tickets.
Tickets are valid only for the weekly drawing for which they are purchased. Participants must purchase new tickets to participate in subsequent weekly drawings.
Incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid entries may be deemed ineligible.
3. The 54 Envelopes
The Chase the Ace Fundraiser will begin with 54 numbered envelopes.
The envelopes will contain:
All 52 cards from a standard deck of playing cards; and
Two Joker cards.
Each card will be randomly placed into one of the 54 numbered envelopes before the fundraiser begins.
Prior to the first drawing, all envelopes will be signed by the Casey Tibbs Foundation Executive Director and a community member who is not affiliated with the Casey Tibbs Foundation, sealed, and notarized.
The contents of the envelopes will remain unknown until an envelope is officially opened following a weekly drawing.
Once an envelope has been opened, that envelope number and the card contained within it will be permanently removed from play.
The fundraiser will continue through weekly drawings until the Ace of Spades is revealed.
4. Selecting an Envelope
Each ticket purchase must include the number of one envelope remaining in play.
Multiple participants may select the same available envelope number during the same weekly drawing. Selecting an envelope number does not reserve, purchase, or remove that envelope from play.
An envelope is removed from play only when a winning ticket associated with that envelope number is drawn and the envelope is officially opened.
Once an envelope has been opened, that envelope number will no longer be available for selection in future weekly drawings.
5. Weekly Drawing
Following the weekly ticket purchase deadline, one eligible ticket will be randomly selected from all eligible tickets purchased for that week's drawing.
The person identified on the selected ticket will be considered the weekly winner.
The envelope number selected by the weekly winner at the time of ticket purchase will then be opened and the card inside revealed.
The weekly winner does not need to be present at the drawing to win.
6. If the Ace of Spades Is NOT Selected
If the selected envelope contains any card other than the Ace of Spades, including either Joker:
The weekly winner will receive a prize equal to 10% of that week's eligible ticket sales.
The remaining 90% of that week's eligible ticket sales will be added to the accumulating Winner's Pot.
The selected envelope and the card contained within it will be permanently removed from play.
The Chase the Ace Fundraiser will continue with another weekly drawing.
All remaining unopened envelopes will remain in play for the next week's drawing.
7. If the Ace of Spades IS Selected
If the selected envelope contains the Ace of Spades, the Chase the Ace Fundraiser will end.
The winner will receive 50% of the accumulated Winner's Pot.
The remaining 50% of the Winner's Pot will benefit the Casey Tibbs Foundation and be used in furtherance of its charitable purposes, including repairs and maintenance, capital expenditures, and other expenses associated with the operation and preservation of the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center.
8. Winner Notification
Winners do not need to be present at the drawing.
If the weekly winner is not present, the Casey Tibbs Foundation will attempt to contact the winner using the contact information provided with the ticket purchase.
The Casey Tibbs Foundation is not responsible for incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate contact information provided by a participant.
The Foundation may require satisfactory proof of identity and age before a prize is awarded.
9. Claiming a Prize
Winners are responsible for claiming their prizes.
The Casey Tibbs Foundation may establish a reasonable deadline for claiming a prize. Any prize that remains unclaimed after the applicable claim period will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Casey Tibbs Foundation policies.
Prize payments may be subject to verification of eligibility and completion of any documentation required by law.
10. Taxes and Reporting
All prizes and winnings are subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax laws.
Winners are solely responsible for any taxes resulting from their winnings.
Before payment of a prize, the Casey Tibbs Foundation may require a winner to provide identification, a taxpayer identification number, and any forms or information necessary to comply with applicable tax reporting and withholding requirements.
The Casey Tibbs Foundation will report winnings and withhold taxes when required by applicable law.
11. Fundraiser Proceeds
Proceeds from Chase the Ace ticket sales benefit the Casey Tibbs Foundation and support its charitable mission, including the operation, preservation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center.
Participation in the Chase the Ace Fundraiser provides the purchaser with a chance to win a prize. No representation is made that the purchase price of a Chase the Ace ticket constitutes a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
12. Need Not Be Present to Win
Participants need not be present to win.
A participant's eligibility to win will not be affected by whether the participant attends the weekly drawing.
13. Integrity of the Fundraiser
All drawings will be conducted in a manner intended to protect the fairness and integrity of the Chase the Ace Fundraiser.
The Casey Tibbs Foundation reserves the right to reject or void any entry that is altered, duplicated, fraudulent, improperly submitted, incomplete, or otherwise inconsistent with these Official Rules.
Any attempt to manipulate, alter, tamper with, or improperly interfere with the ticketing process, drawing, envelopes, cards, Square purchasing system, or any other portion of the fundraiser may result in disqualification.
14. Technical or Administrative Errors
The Casey Tibbs Foundation is not responsible for internet outages, Square processing issues, website interruptions, failed transactions, technical malfunctions, or other circumstances outside the Foundation's reasonable control.
A ticket purchase must be successfully completed by the applicable weekly deadline to be eligible for that week's drawing.
If an administrative, technical, or clerical error affects an entry or drawing, the Casey Tibbs Foundation may take reasonable action to correct the error while preserving the fairness and integrity of the fundraiser.
15. Envelope Availability
Only envelope numbers that have not previously been opened are eligible for selection.
Multiple participants may select the same available envelope number during a given week.
The Casey Tibbs Foundation will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the Square purchase form reflects the envelope numbers remaining in play.
If a participant inadvertently selects an envelope that was previously removed from play because of a technical or administrative error, the Casey Tibbs Foundation may contact the participant to select another available envelope or otherwise resolve the entry in a fair and reasonable manner.
16. Calculation of Prizes and Winner's Pot
For purposes of calculating weekly prizes and the Winner's Pot, the Casey Tibbs Foundation's records of eligible ticket sales will control.
The Winner's Pot consists of the applicable portions of eligible ticket sales accumulated through the Chase the Ace Fundraiser in accordance with these Official Rules.
Prize amounts may be subject to required tax withholding or other deductions required by law.
17. Decisions and Disputes
Questions or disputes concerning eligibility, ticket purchases, drawings, envelope selections, prize calculations, the Winner's Pot, or interpretation of these Official Rules will be determined by the Casey Tibbs Foundation, subject to applicable law.
Decisions of the Casey Tibbs Foundation will be final to the extent permitted by law.
18. Modification, Suspension, or Cancellation
The Casey Tibbs Foundation reserves the right to amend these Official Rules or to postpone, suspend, or cancel a drawing or the fundraiser when reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, administrative or technical error, concerns regarding the integrity of the fundraiser, or changes in applicable law.
Any material changes to the Official Rules will be communicated through the Foundation's normal public communication channels when reasonably practicable.
Any modification will be administered in a manner consistent with applicable law and the integrity of the fundraiser.
19. Acceptance of Official Rules
Purchase of a Chase the Ace ticket constitutes the participant's acceptance of these Official Rules.
