Buy-A-Cowboy Sponsorship Official Rules
Draw Procedure – Rounds 1–3 (Long-Go)
Price: $500 per Cowboy
Each of the 30 Buy-A-Cowboy Sponsors will participate in the Long-Go draw.
In a random drawing order on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. CST via Facebook Live, each Sponsor will be randomly drawn by Casey Tibbs Foundation staff.
In the order drawn, each Sponsor will be assigned to the respective ride order of the Long-Go.
Additional Long-Go Draw Rules
If, for any reason, the cowboy in the sponsor’s ride slot is turned out, the sponsor will be assigned to the alternate cowboy assigned to that spot.
If, for any reason, the cowboy(s) in the sponsor’s ride slot are turned out and there is no replacement, the sponsor will receive a no-score for that ride.
If, for any reason, the buck-out order changes, the sponsor will remain the sponsor of the rider associated with the initial buck-out order as of rodeo start time.
Payouts for the Long-Go
1st Place: $3,000
2nd Place: $1,500
Draw Procedure – Final Round (Short-Go)
Price: $500 per Cowboy
Eight Sponsors will participate in this round for the opportunity to sponsor a Cowboy Contestant in the Short-Go.
Sponsors must purchase a Long-Go sponsorship to be eligible to participate in the Short-Go sponsorship.
Short-Go sponsorships are first come, first served based on payment received.
In a random drawing order on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. CST via Facebook Live, each Sponsor will be randomly drawn by Casey Tibbs Foundation staff.
In the order drawn, each Sponsor will be assigned to the respective ride order of the Short-Go.
Additional Short-Go Draw Rules
If, for any reason, the buck-out order changes, the sponsor will remain the sponsor of the rider associated with the initial buck-out order.
Payouts for the Short-Go
1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,500
Additional Rules
Placings for payouts will be based on each round individually and not on an aggregate average.
In the Event of a Tie
The total cash prize for the tied placings will be combined and split evenly between the winning sponsors of the respective round.
To determine the placement of cowboys assigned to sponsors for the Short-Go, ties will be broken according to official PRCA rules and determined by the rodeo secretary for the Final Round.
If a tie results in more than eight cowboys advancing to the Final Round, the Casey Tibbs Foundation will sponsor any additional qualifying contestants.
The event is intended to proceed regardless of weather conditions; therefore, no refunds will be granted except in the event of cancellation at the sole discretion of event management.
