Official writing prompt:
“If I were a bronc rider…”
Official Rules
No purchase necessary. All contestants must be South Dakota residents 12 years of age or younger on or before June 6, 2026. Contest must submit a typed 250-500 word essay under the writing prompt: “If I were a bronc rider…” along with their full name, age, hometown, address, parent or guardian name, phone number, and email address. Essay and contact information must be submitted to: CTSDRC, PO BOX 37, Fort Pierre, SD, 57532 or delivered to the Casey Tibbs SD Rodeo Center no later than April 26, 2026, at 5PM. Contestants cannot be direct relatives to Casey Tibbs Foundation/SD Rodeo Center Board Members or employees. Winners will be notified on or before May 6, 2026. Upon notification, parent or legal guardian must submit a provided information and photograph release form which allows the Casey Tibbs Foundation to feature child’s name, age, hometown, and photograph that includes, but is not limited to: website, social media outlets, and potential television broadcasting.
