Cole Elshere
2025 Cowboy Great: Cole Elshere, born December 12, 1989, of Faith, South Dakota, is a professional saddle bronc rider known for his grit, consistency, and dedication to the sport of rodeo. A graduate of Gillette College with a business degree, Elshere has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo four times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2020). He has earned numerous titles across the PRCA circuit, including wins at prestigious events such as the Deadwood Days of ’76 Rodeo and the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeos. Influenced by his cousins and fellow bronc riders J.J. and Ryan Elshere, Cole continues a proud family rodeo tradition. When not competing, he works on his family’s ranch and helps at the local church. In 2017, he portrayed legendary cowboy Casey Tibbs in the documentary Floating Horses. Known for his humility and hometown roots, Elshere embodies the spirit of the American cowboy.
Cole and his wife, Kyndra, and 2 daughters Everley and Edelle enjoy traveling and raising cattle together.
