Cliff Glade

2025 Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner Past Rodeo Great: Cliff Glade was born in January 1950 near New Underwood, South Dakota. A natural athlete, he competed in basketball, football, and track before rodeo became his passion. In high school, he excelled in discus, holding the record for over 50 years. Rodeo soon took center stage. He won Saddle Bronc in 1966, Bull Riding in 1967, and the All Around at the 1967 South Dakota State High School Rodeo Finals. In 1968, he repeated as Saddle Bronc and All Around Champion, and his team claimed the National Championship in Topeka, Kansas, where he was All Around Runner-Up.
Cliff rodeoed at Black Hills State College, where he met barrel racer Lila Reukauf. They married in 1971 and traveled the rodeo circuit together. Cliff earned numerous titles, including the Montana Circuit All Around in 1978. He later taught his children and grandchildren to rodeo. Today, Cliff and Lila ranch on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where rodeo still runs deep.
